From Accidental Beginnings

Okay, let’s be real. You’ve heard it a million times—photographers who’ve been obsessed with beauty since they were a toddler, or who claim they were born with a camera in hand. They’ll tell you they literally melt at the sight of love during weddings, and they probably have a long-winded story about how they’ve been capturing “perfect moments” since before they could walk. And honestly? It’s a little creepy sometimes. Well, here’s the thing: Our story is not like that. At all.

Years ago, in 2010 to be exact, there was this tall guy—let’s call him Robert—who was making a name for himself in commercial photography. He was photographing all sorts of products—widgets, gadgets, and all kinds of boring stuff that didn’t exactly scream creative or inspiring. But then one day, out of the blue, a huge sports league asked Robert if he’d be interested in doing something a little different: taking portraits of kids. Yup. Kids.

Now, Robert had zero experience with portraits, let alone sports portraits, but in true “why not?” fashion, he said, “Sure, I’ll give it a shot.” So, he called up his wife, Angie, who had an eye for detail and a natural way with people, and together they set off on what would turn out to be one of the most unexpected adventures of their lives.

Fast forward a year—this accidental business had taken over their lives. They went from doing a few random portrait gigs here and there to working almost exclusively on sports and family portraits. They were hooked. The rush of capturing kids in action, the challenge of getting the perfect shot, and the pure joy of seeing families light up over their images? They couldn’t get enough.

The funny part? They didn’t plan any of it. It just happened. And the more they did it, the more they loved it.
